The Orange Blossom Bakery & Café is very well known for their melt in your mouth delicious "Apple Uglies"! These are a must try on any trip to Hatteras Island! You will need to get up early to score these extremely popular treats! Their menu also includes pastries, muffins and donuts. Open Easter - Monday after Thanksgiving. The hours are 6:30AM - 11:30AM daily. If you want to try the famous "Apple Uglies" you will want to plan to get there close to the open time. There is usually a line for these and they do sell out of them!

Ugly Mugs Coffee House, in Avon, has a cool and friendly atmosphere. They serve a nice variety of coffees, teas and smoothies as well as bagels and homemade muffins and pastries. Please call for hours.

Diamond Shoals has a very friendly atmosphere and serves up all of there meals with southern hospitality. Located in the village of Buxton. Hours of operation are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 7AM - 9PM. Open Saturday and Sunday 7AM 2PM & 5PM - 9PM. They do have a take out menu.

Island Convenience
Island Convenience/Liberty Station is not a restaurant but they do have a deli section and make good breakfast sandwiches. They sell a little bit of everything here from snacks to souvenirs and from wine to hermit crabs! Great place to grab a breakfast or lunch sandwich and head to the beach! Use the bikes we keep for guest use at SEAcret Treasure, just short trip up the road!
